Arclight
She has been running well, and winning, over fences but she reverts to hurdles here, and she does so on a 12lb lower mark than that over chases. So you have to think she has every chance in conditions that will suit. It looks a pretty hot 0-125, though.

Act Of Innocence
The boss was toying with running him in the Grade 1 at Aintree but decided to introduce him to the big time a touch more gently here. He certainly impressed me no end when winning here in a good time on his debut for us, and he looks a very smart prospect. He has a 5lb penalty against decent sorts, so this is by no means straightforward, but we’d obviously be hopeful.

Ideal Des Bordes
He ran a bit better at Sandown last time and he is down to a mark of 117. If he can build on that run last time, he is clearly very well handicapped on his form at Wincanton and Kempton at the start of the year.

Calimystic
This is the first time I have ridden him on the track. He won well at Doncaster over hurdles before disappointing on his most recent start at Ayr in April, and he makes his chase debut for us off a mark of 118 here. Hopefully, the lightly-raced 6yo, a half-brother to our smart chaser Angels Breath, can make his mark over fences.
