Son Of Camas
I think he could be a very good prospect indeed. He clearly disappointed us when starting as favourite for the valuable Punchestown bumper on his debut in April, and I don’t think we ever found out what went wrong there. But he certainly showed us what he was made of when beating me here earlier in the month, and that rode like a very good bumper. This looks a pretty hot maiden hurdle but we think a lot of our boy and I’ll be disappointed if he isn’t involved in the finish. I schooled him on Thursday morning and he was very good.

Grand Mogul
He obviously did his racing with Gordon Elliott last season and showed tons of ability when winning his bumper at Thurles by a wide margin. The form looks to have worked out well enough from what I can see and he has certainly shown us plenty since he came here. I think starting him out at this 2m4f trip looks the right move and he is a big, attractive sort who can hopefully make his presence felt here, and maybe even follow in the footsteps of the likes of Santini, who won this race a couple of years ago. This looks a good race, mind you.

O O Seven
He is a very smart chaser on his day, and he won’t mind it if the ground starts to dry out. But his best effort to date clearly came with plenty of dig when he won for me over 2m4f at Punchestown in May, so conditions will be fine, either way. He is 8lb higher here and now races off a career-high mark, so let’s see if there is more improvement in him. I schooled him on Thursday morning, and he could be better for the run, though he does have a great record when fresh and finished a good third in this race two years ago.
