The drying ground is in his favour, especially over this trip, and he has now dropped to a mark of 132 over fences. That combination gives him decent claims here if he can return to his best, not that he ran too badly over hurdles at Exeter last time. And obviously this race has cut up a lot at the overnight stage to just six runners. He has been rated as high as 146 over fences and 135 over hurdles, so the potential is certainly there off this mark, back chasing.
