Impose Toi
He has been off the track since winning at Newbury in November, but he has a superb record when fresh. He went up 7lb for that win but hopefully there is more to come from this course winner, who we try in first-time cheekpieces here. We have had some success in this race in recent seasons, and Impose Toi certainly has his chance in what is obviously a hugely competitive race.

Mister Coffey
Yes, we all know he hasn’t won for five years, is a maiden over fences and likes finishing second, thank you very much!. But he looks to have a rock solid each-way chance here, and hopefully a winning one. He has taken really well to these fences, and we retain the faith in him. Like I said, he looks set to run his race and hopefully that may be enough.

We take on two previous winners of the race, as well as dangerous previous Festival winners like Marine Nationale and Quilixios, so we are well aware of the challenge he faces. But we couldn’t be happier with him and you could argue he is in the form of his life. I was delighted with him when he saw off Energumene in the Clarence House last time and of course he is the one to beat. But you fully respect the opposition at the same time.
