2.05pm Cheltenham
Pym
He has been running over 3m recently, and winning over that trip at Sandown in November, but the step down in trip doesn’t concern me and hopefully the first-time cheek pieces will help, too. He is a course winner and a mark of 151 looks fine on his best form, and the ground looks like being perfect for him.
2.40pm Cheltenham
Global Society
He took a while to come back to the form of his Doncaster win but he did so when third at Stratford last time, and the winner bolted in next time. Off the same mark, he must have every chance and the step back up in trip shout suit, too.
3.50pm Cheltenham
Welsh Saint
He is another one of ours who will hopefully improve for cheek pieces. He hasn’t shone in three chase starts this season but he returns to hurdles on a decent mark on ground that should be fine.
4.25pm Cheltenham
Beware The Bear
He hasn’t run up to his best on his last two starts but his is already 8lb lower than when fifth in the Ladbrokes Trophy three starts ago, and he looks set to get his favoured decent ground here. He won the Ultima here two years ago, and it isn’t hard to see him bouncing back to form.
