MILL GREEN NH

WARWICK

1:15

Avada Kedavra (Robbie Dunne)

He’s a nice progressive son of Milan, from the family of dear old Bob’s Worth, and the step up in trip should suit, but I do think he’ll be a much more interesting candidate in Handicaps further down the line.

3:00

City Chief (Robbie Dunne)

I think this is a good race for him. He made a little mistake and then got hampered at Cheltenham last time which did him no favours, but he likes soft ground and is in good shape at home.

3:35 Unibet Veterans Handicap Chase

Mill Green (Robbie Dunne)

I have to admit I’m not entirely convinced this is his bag, but Unibet and The Jockey Club should be commended for restaging the race, therefore it’s important we support it. There isn’t much between him and a few others, notably Thomas Darby, so I’m hopeful he can put up a decent show but, as I say, it could become quite testing come race time.

KEMPTON

12:20

Kado De Joie (James Bowen) (gift Of joy)

He has improved a lot for his first run, and we are getting to know him quite well. This looks a competitive Juvenile, and Paul Nicholls’ horse seems to be the one they are all talking about, but our horse jumps and works well so should be on the premises.

12:55

Gentle Slopes (James Bowen)

He’s a new recruit to us, and is a nice person to join the squad, but on his work at home I would suggest he definitely wants Good ground. We’re dropping back in trip, which won’t be an issue, and it will be interesting to see what sort of horse we have on our hands.

2:42

Impose Toi (James Bowen)

He made a mistake at the last at Ascot, but to be honest with you, I don’t think he’d have won anyway because Luccia wasn’t stopping. We’re going back up in trip, but that won’t be an issue at all and he’s a very progressive horse. I think his current mark is workable.

King Alexander (Tom Cannon)

I quite like him, and he was impressive at Exeter last time. Good ground ideally suits him best, but the going is always decent at Kempton, and while this is a step up, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him take it in his stride.
