He’s ultimately been very disappointing since winning his bumper and novice hurdle at Newbury a couple of years ago and I did think he would develop into a very smart chaser, but unfortunately things haven’t gone to plan and we are rather in no mans land at the moment. On the plus side the Good ground is definitely in his favour, the track will suit and this is obviously a step down from a Grade Two Novice Chase. Unibet's 15 To Go offer will run on this race.

He’s a very likeable person and I was impressed with his win at Southwell last time. The handicapper has had his say but this looks a very good opportunity for him and despite having to carry top weight I still think he goes there with a massive chance. Good ground is key to him which he will get here and he’s really been enjoying his work at home of late which gives me some confidence that he is coming to hand at the right time. Unfortunately he’s got more letters the numbers after his name but that doesn’t tell the whole story because he has been quite unlucky on several occasions. The switch back to hurdles will be a big help, as will the step back down in trip, and I fancy him to go close.

He’s a very handsome individual whose dam, Refinement, was a G1 winner for Jonjo O’Neill and everything this horse is done at home would suggest he could be quite smart.
