Newbury – Friday
Ferando (Nico de Boinville)
He’s a horse we like a lot and there’s plenty of speed in his pedigree, with the likes of Sprinter Sacre and Azertyuiop in there. This does, however, look a very good race and he will need to be extremely good to win this first time out, but it’s a good starting point and he’s ready to go.
Chantry House (Nico de Boinville)
There aren’t too many options for a horse like him, and we might start looking at Veterans Chases further down the line, but he’s in fine fettle at home and I think he’ll enjoy a spin over hurdles to get his season going. His run at Punchestown in the spring showed that he still retains plenty of ability.
