KEMPTON

Heatstroke (Nico de Boinville)
He’s had more problems than Theresa May’s having with Brexit so it’s been a slow road to recovery but he came back off a long lay off and won easily at Huntingdon on his hurdles debut which was a very pleasant surprise because he was certainly entitled to need it. He’s been very well ever since and the ground should be fine. A few of the others have more experience over obstacles but his jumping is good and he’s schooled well so I expect him to run a big race

Burrows Edge (Nico de Boinville)
He ran a great race on his first run back over course and distance and he’ll definitely strip fitter for that outing. I’ve always been a fan of these consolation races as it gives those that missed the cut at Cheltenham the chance to win a valuable prize. He’s a chaser in the making but this will be a nice race to pick up along the way. I’m happy with him and think he has a great chance.

The Cashel Man (Jerry McGrath)
He stayed well on the flat but looked to get outstayed at Uttoxeter last time over 3m so we’re going back to this trip and there are only four runners so this looks a nice opportunity. That said, there doesn’t look much between them all so could end up quite a competitive little race. I’m happy with him though and he’ll run his race.

Shiskin (Nico de Boinville)
We bought him at the Cheltenham Sale in December after winning a Point to Point in Ireland and from what I’ve seen so far he looks a very bright prospect. Mister Fisher won this race for us last year and while I’m not saying this horse is in his league yet, he’s doing everything right and I’m extremely hopeful of a bold show.
