We will be having our annual pre-Cheltenham work morning at Kempton on Tuesday which is something we’ve always done as it gives the horses an opportunity to get away for the day and stretch their legs before the Festival.
There will be about nine working including Jango Baie, Iberico Lord, Impose Toi, Jeriko Du Reponet and Old Park Star.
KEMPTON
1:45 G2 Adonis Hurdle
Fantasy World (Nico De Boinville)
It was the sharp track that caught him out at Musselburgh last week because he’s much better than that and while he is coming back out rather quickly he has a good constitution and I think he’ll be much happier around Kempton on ground that should suit.
This is a Grade Two, so a big step up, but he was very classy on the flat and I’m hoping he can be just the same over hurdles.
3:00 G2 Dovecote Novices’ Hurdle
Mustang Du Breuil (James Bowen)
I was very pleased with him at Doncaster, albeit may not have been the strongest race, but he’s a person we like a lot and is learning all the time.
He jumps very nicely and the ground will be in his favour so hopefully he could end up pretty smart.
He’d have had three runs after this and needs the experience if we are going to be looking at the Fred Winter.
4:05
Califet En Vol (Nico De Boinville)
He’s stepping out of Novice Company into open class and has run some good races at Cheltenham this season but I’m rather inclined to get him on a flat track, because he has won over Hurdles at this course, and hopefully he can be competitive in his first Handicap off a mark of 136.
He jumps well and this appears to be his trip.
