TO CELEBRATE National Racehorse week we had plenty of visitors to the yard on Wednesday to see the horses and a great time was had by all; even Altior made a special appearance which was undoubtedly the highlight for many. Constitution Hill was also the subject of much attention, and I’m delighted to say that he is doing very well indeed. He’s enjoyed a nice, long summer break, and is definitely on the burly side! But we are slowly starting to step up his work ahead of the new season where he’s most likely to start off in the G1 Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle. It would be a good time to mention that he did have a wind operation a few weeks ago because we feel it might help him, more precautionary than anything else and he’s now in full work. Jonbon is doing great and, I must say, looks absolutely magnificent. He’ll hopefully kick start his season in the Shloer Chase at Cheltenham in November en-route to the Tingle Creek.
