KEMPTON
Timetoshine (Nico De Boinville)
She was a smart mare on the flat and made an impressive winning debut over hurdles at Huntingdon last time. She does have to carry a penalty here, but the ground will be perfect, and she hopefully has a bright future over obstacles.
First Street (Nico De Boinville)
He’s coming down to quite an attractive mark over fences, and we are coming here for the good ground. A small field like this will play to his strengths and two miles two furlongs is an ideal trip. He’s in great shape at home.
Aston Martini (Nico De Boinville)
I was delighted with her run at Ascot behind Altobelli, and a reproduction of that effort would give her every chance here. She was declared for the Martin Pipe, but didn’t get a run, so we find ourselves here and the cheek pieces will aid her cause. She’s a very likeable and versatile mare.
Night Ride Home (Nico De Boinville)
He’s a very kind person, who has been working nicely at home. This is his first day at school, so he will definitely improve for the experience, but we like him, and he has a bright future.
UTTOXETER
Akimos (Sam Twiston-Davies)
He shaped with promise on debut at Newbury but is ready for a step up in trip. Whether he’s quite grown up enough to win today I’m not quite sure, but he should develop into a nice handicapper further down the line.
Brooklyn Callin (David Bass)
She won her only Point to Point in Ireland, and everything she’s done at home has been pleasing, but I would expect her to improve for the experience.
