The two now at the head of the market are both rock solid but the traders report more money for the one with experience – POPULAIRE. The 2yo shaped with plenty of promise on debut, keeping on nicely when it was too late. That looked a good race too and he's bound to come on plenty. He sets the standard, and it's a good one, so you can see why punters have sided with him for all that the unraced jolly is attracting interest too!

GIFT OF KINGS is a well backed favourite for the opener at Ayr on the second day of their feature festival. He ran with huge credit in that Class 2 Maiden at York won by Molatham (who had been second to Mums Tipple at Ascot) so the form looks strong and he's another entitled to improve for that debut effort.

ASMUND is an each-way mover in this Nursery Handicap up at Ayr for Karl Burke. He was midfield in a similar Class 2 contest at Glorious Goodwood and that connections come back in at this level could be telling. He's been gelded since too, which could bring amount a considerable amount of improvement. Interesting.

We're paying AN EXTRA PLACE on this Listed race and the each-way money has been for LAST EMPIRE today. Unbeaten in all three runs this season she's well worth a crack at this level. She's a bit to find on official ratings but she's probably the most unexposed runner in the whole field so you can see why she appeals to a certain type of punter!
