CORK

Clockers Corner

3.05pm
10/3 from 8/1

John Oxx's CLOCKERS CORNER makes his handicap debut off of 83 after finally getting his head in front last time out. Connections persisted with Maiden's despite having a rating of 61 so they must have known he was a great deal better than that. He's unexposed, will go in the ground and has attracted support today. One to note!

AYR

Iconic Code

5.20pm
7/2 from 11/2

ICONIC CODE, for the in form Keith Dalgleish yard, looks like a winner in waiting and he's been well backed to get his head in front in the lucky last at Ayr today. He's a course and distance winner on this ground off this mark and it's interesting to see Fanning on this one rather than Three Castles who has been riding as well lately. If the first time cheekpieces eek out any improvement then the 4yo should take all the beating.

ASCOT

Young Fire

Challenge Cup (antepost)
10/1 from 16/1

YOUNG FIRE is an interesting antepost gamble for Saturday's Challenge Cup at Ascot…..because he probably needs to win the 4.20pm at Ayr to get in! To be fair he's been very well backed to do so and the 4yo won grittly on his most recent start – just his third for David O'Meara since arriving from France. A win today would get him a 6lb penalty and soft ground conditions are in his favour. Watch closely.
