HUNTINGDON
Affluence
2.30pm
6/1 from 16/1
4yo AFFLUENCE is a very moderate flat performer who makes his hurdling debut today and has come for a lot of overnight support. He does at least know how to win and has consistently been running really well on the flat. It'll be fascinating to see how he fares today following all this money.
TAUNTON
Super Snipe
2.20pm
6/1 from 11/1
SUPER SNIPE drops markedley in trip today returning to the scene of his best career run to date when second to the talented Southfield Stone. He returns to Maiden company today and wouldn't have a huge amount to find with the odds on favourite.
Eddy
5.05pm
9/2 from 8/1
EDDY is the gamble in the lucky last at Taunton. The 10yo has plummeted at the weights but drops into Class 5 company for a yard that is no stranger to landing a punt. It would be no surprise to see a return to form here this afternoon!
EPSOM – THE DERBY
Japan
Antepost
10/1 from 14/1
There can hardly be a better bred horse in training than this Galileo full brother to Sir Isaac Newton and Secret Gesture and the Aidan O'Brien Group 2 winner might just be burning up the gallops at home if the money is anything to go by. He'll stay every yard and should improve from two to three so it bodes well that JAPAN is already a Group 2 winner.
Beresford Stakes winner Japan – next stop @DoncasterRaces? Aidan O'Brien: "He’s a big, hardy horse and could be the type for the [Group 1] Vertem Futurity Trophy."
“He travelled well and did everything right, so you’d have to be delighted with him really.” pic.twitter.com/slkbK4mZvj
