NEWBURY
Blue De Vega
2.35pm
15/2 from 11/1
BLUE DE VEGA's 2018 form tailed off badly but as such he finds himself reappearing off of a lenient mark. In the right hands (Robert Cowell) this sprinter can make his presence felt if the 174 day break has freshened him up!
AYR
Shoal Bay
5.05pm
4/1 from 9/1
SHOAL BAY makes the long trip from Colin Tizzard's up to Scotland but punters are banking that it's going to be a worthwhile one as the 6yo has more than halved in price since our opening price of 9/1. First time blinkers go on and he steps up in trip after staying on strongly last time. He was once rated 135, so 118 could be a total handicap blot if he can get it all together for a trainer who had an excellent Aintree.
KEMPTON
Sonnetina
5.10pm
4/1 from 20/1
Just five minutes later, down at Kempton Park, SONNETINA runs – our biggest gamble of the day. The 3yo filly remains unexposed and although her handicap debut was underwhelming it's possible something was amiss that day as she hasn't been seen since. This is some serious money for a horse with little form and it all feels a bit ominous!
We are paying AN EXTRA PLACE on the 3.25 at Ayr, the 3.40 at Newbury, and the 5.40 at Kempton Park.
