Shargiah
He was a progressive handicapper when trained by Roger Varian in 2017 and I was very happy with his fifth at York last time. He looks be coming to the boil nicely and, dropped 1lb since that run last time, I think he looks to be a on a very fair mark now. He should go well.

Pass The Vino
He has gone up 5lb for his narrow win in a valuable handicap here last time, so this won’t be easy. But he is clearly an unexposed and improving sprinter, having just his sixth start here, so the potential for him to take another big leap forward is there.

Matchmaking
He missed an intended race at Haydock recently on account of the ground, but hopefully we can get him out and get his season started here. He will need to step up on his efforts last season if he is to be winning this, but hopefully his first attempt at 1m6f will provide that improvement. And, obviously, our horses are in great nick now.

Blame It On Sally
There is a fair bit of stamina on his dam side, so it was no great surprise to see him improve for the step up in trip when winning over 1m4f at Epsom. He showed a really good attitude there and, while a 5lb rise was probably as much as he could have got, hopefully he will progress again and be suited by the extra 2f. It does look a pretty decent race for a 0-75, but I would hope my horse has improved from Epsom.
