He has run two good races on testing ground at Nottingham on his last two starts and hopefully he will take to this track okay. He has form on other all-weather tracks, and the step down in class to this 0-65 could be a fair plus, too.

Split Down South
He looks to have the one or two pieces of form when trained in Ireland that makes him interesting off a mark of 60 for his new stable here. And he clearly doesn’t have many miles on the clock.

She is probably one of the form horses in here at her best and she put a below-par run behind her when running okay in a handicap over course and distance last time. A first-time visor will hopefully help, too.

He paid for a good 7f Chelmsford win for me last month with a 6lb rise and he didn’t back up that run over further at Kempton last time. But he has been eased 1lb for it, is lightly-raced and the return to 7f is no harm at all.

She has been in great form, scoring a brace of victories over 1m2f at Chelmsford for me – where the fitting of cheek pieces seem to have made a difference – and then finishing a good third on her first attempt over this 1m4f trip at Kempton last time. She is 2lb higher here but good recent form is at a premium in this race and you have to be hopeful of another bold show. Her draw could have been a bit better, though.
