Alletrix (Robert Power) & Rovetta (Paddy Kennedy)
Alletrix won this race last year, but she would love a good drop of rain, as she is a much better filly on soft ground. She has a lot of weight, but she is in great form and we’ve had this race in mind for her for a while. She has had just the one run this season and that was over fences, but her work has been good and I’m happy to let her take her chance.
Rovetta ran last week at Gowran and it’s best to put a line through that run, as nothing went right for her. She is at the right end of the handicap, but she would prefer softer ground. It’s a mares only handicap and it’s worth a lot of money and I think she’ll give a good account of herself. She does stay very well and I think she goes there with a chance.

Got Trumped (Robert Power)
He is an improving horse and he was third in a Grade 2 at Leopardstown at Christmas time. I was a little bit disappointed with him the last day at Fairyhouse, but I’ve been very happy with him since. Bar Rocky Blue, all the good juveniles are here and this race will help us decide where he’ll go for the remainder of the season. At this stage, you’d imagine that he looks more a Fred Winter type, but we’ll see how Sunday goes first. He needs all the experience he can get before he goes to Cheltenham.

Jetz (Robert Power)
I think we’ll see an improved performance from him, as he seems to be a better horse going left handed. His jumping is getting better and he was second in a Grade 1 novice hurdle at this fixture last year. This looks the best staying novice chase run this year and Delta Work will be hard to beat, but La Bague Au Roi is a very interesting runner, having won a Grade 1 at Kempton at Christmas.

Whisperinthebreeze (Paddy Kennedy)
He has a very light weight and despite the fact that he has yet to win over fences, we’ll let him take his chance. He ran very well when second the last day against seasoned handicappers at Punchestown over three miles and a furlong. He does stay very well and I’d like to get more experience into him. I don’t think he’ll mind the drop back in trip, as they will go a good gallop in this and that will suit him.
