I rode a double for Charlie at Newcastle on Thursday, so he has his team in good form and this horse also won at that track on her only start last season. Clearly, she will need to put that form well behind her to be winning this and taking up her 1,000 Guineas engagement, but they clearly think a bit of her.

I have a lot of time for this stable, and this colt has his first start for them. He disappointed on his final start last season over 1m in deep ground but he finished second to the subsequent Lagardere winner Sealiway on his debut before winning his second outing by 6 lengths over this trip. He has a lot to find form-wise, but he is a relatively unknown prospect, like many of these, and he showed a lot of promise in France.

This is another I ride for David [Menuisier]. Presumably, he has had an issue or two as he is already gelded but he has a fair pedigree, being by Wootton Basset out of a 7f winner. That pedigree suggests this 1m3f trip may stretch him but let’s see.
