Illalliqa

She is a well-bred filly – she is a half-sister to the Group 1-winning sprinter Signs Of Blessing, who handled cut very well  – and hopefully she can make her presence felt off an opening mark of 66 here. She has shaped with some promise in both her starts, perhaps more so on her Bath debut, and the handicapper has given her a fair chance.

Inevitable Outcome

This is only her third start on turf and her progression has come on all-weather surfaces. But there is no reason why she can’t perform on grass, and she finished a good second in what looks a strong handicap for the grade at Newcastle last time. She looks fairly treated off a 1lb higher mark here and hopefully she will be fine with the ease in the ground.
