Molls Memory

Ed’s horses continue in good form, and of course Molls Memory is one of those after winning for me at Newbury last month. A 3lb rise for that win looks fair enough and we know 7f with plenty of cut suits, so there is no reason why she shouldn’t run her race and go close, for all it is a very competitive handicap. She has had a light, back-end campaign, and that is hopefully in her favour.

Son Of Rest

He is a horse who also has conditions in his favour. He hasn’t won since dead-heating in the Ayr Gold Cup on heavy ground in 2018 but he ran a fair race after a long absence in a Group 3 in September and then stepped forward on that effort when fifth in this grade at the Curragh last time. Hopefully, he is coming to the boil now and it is not hard to see him running a big race here, even if, once again, this is a pretty deep and competitive sprint, and Brando is the obvious one to beat after his Ascot run last time.
