He’s aways been a pretty smart horse with some decent form and there’s no doubt we were extremely unlucky in the Unibet Golden Mile at Goodwood last time because he completely missed the break so was much further back than I wanted and then got caught behind a wall of horses and had nowhere to go, but when the gaps finally opened and I was able to switch, he stayed on really well to finish a very credible sixth behind the reopposing Maydanny who has to concede plenty of weight to us this time. That was an eye catching run which showed he’s in good form and on revised terms we’re certainly entitled to finish a lot closer to Jim’s mount. He’s a course and distance winner off the same mark as today and I’ll be riding him with plenty of confidence.
