Sleeping Lion
We won with this race off a 3lb lower mark last season, and I think he is handicapped to go close once again. Hopefully, there are a couple in here that will go forward, as my horse wants a decent gallop to aim at, and I think this trip, just shy of 2m, could be his ideal. He has run well enough on his last two starts to suggest he is in the form to make his presence felt again, especially as the drying ground is very much in his favour, too. You have to respect the claims of the lightly-raced York winner Alfaatik though, as well as a couple of runners who come into the race on the back of good efforts.
