I don’t know much about him as it stands but this Prince Of Lir colt was bought for £40,000 at the breeze-ups last month, so hopefully he can go a bit.

Bless Him

All his best form has come at a mile, so he has something to prove over 1m2f here, especially as he hasn’t quite clicked in his last two starts. But he hasn’t been running badly, we know what a good horse he is on his day and the drying ground is in his favour. It looks a tough race for him, though.

Rodrigo Diaz

Although he clearly ran well when third at Kempton last time and actually got raised 1lb for it, I expected a little more from him there. Maybe this step up in trip is what he wants – he is a half-brother to a winner over 2m1f – and I reckon his current mark of 90 still underplays his talent.

Income

She clearly has a lot to find with the principals Vintage Clarets and Chipotle but there is good money on offer here and she has shaped well in both of her maiden starts. I can see a strongly-run 5f suiting her after her run over 6f at Goodwood last time

Crimson Sand

He ran a bit below par at Newmarket last time, though not beaten far, and his earlier third for me off a 1lb higher mark than this over 5f at Nottingham would give him a fair chance. This is his first start over 7f and hopefully it will suit.
