Uncle Johnny

This No Nay Never colt has the draw in one if he has the speed to take advantage of it on his debut and he is certainly a pretty well-related individual, though I haven’t ridden him at home. Aveta is the very obvious one to beat though, even under her penalty.

Via Serendipity

I haven’t ridden him before but he ran okay when fourth in a first-time visor at Doncaster last time and he looks to be a very fair mark on turf. A draw in nine could have been better but he is usually dropped in anyway, though he has made the running before, so he will need luck in running. If he gets the breaks then he has chances off a mark of 88.

Blow Your Horn

He has gone up 11lb for his two recent successes for me at Newcastle and Chelmsford and this looks a tougher handicap, so he probably needs to take another step forward. But he is a well-bred son of Golden Horn and hopefully there is plenty more in the tank; he did well to beat a few progressive, last-time out winners at Chelmsford last time, so that form is decent. The better the ground the better his chance.

Point Lynas

He looks to have shaped pretty well after a slow start when sixth on his debut at Newmarket. This could be a very hot maiden but hopefully he has a chance, though being drawn 10 of 10 obviously makes that more unlikely.

Remedium

He comes in here after a couple of good seconds in maiden and novice company of late and a mark of 81 looks fair enough for his handicap debut. He has his chance from stall one.

Punting

She came good in first-time cheekpieces when winning over 1m2f at Chelmsford last time, and they are retained here. She has gone up only 2lb, so I think she is still fairly weighted, and she has form over this longer trip, too.
