He has run some good races here, notably when fifth in the big one here back in 2018 off a mark of 106, and he is down to 83 now. He didn’t run badly at York last time and we know he handles any ground.  He has an outside each way chance, I guess.

We know he is not obviously well treated – he has been beaten on all five starts off this mark – but we know he is in-form after finishing fourth in the Wokingham last time and is ideally suited by a strongly-run, big-field handicap over 6f.  He hasn’t raced here before but there is no reason why he won’t handle the track and he is ground -versatile. Another good run is on the cards. If Charlie has chosen right with his stall in 19, that is.
