SHEFFIELD

Inca Coney (T4) is the star on show in tonight’s OR Sprint at Sheffield (18:39) and this June ’18 bitch was mightily impressive on her most recent start when showing plenty of zip to score by 2 ½ lengths last Saturday. Back in trap 4 today, this six time winner (from seven starts) is well clear on times and should be extremely hard to peg back. Newinn Buzz (T6) has been in good form and didn’t get the best of luck in running last time but has good enough form to go close and is not without a shout, although his record in the striped jacket is far from convincing.

In the 19:36, Referendum (T3) clocked up a brilliant time when beating Coney Calyx (T1) over course and distance last time and the son of Droopy’s Jet looks to hold all the aces competing on home soil. That said, Nottingham raider, Rocket Robbie (T4) arrives here in fine form having won his last three races, all in A2 grade, but is a dual Open Race winner and Laurence Tuffin’s charge is a major threat to the favourite.

Coney Krakatoa (T4) is in the form of his life and should be head and shoulders above his rivals in the 20:24.

Kevin Hutton’s Headford Ranger (T5) is the class act in the Steel City Cup at 21:18 and there is no reason why he can’t maintain superiority over the re-opposing Lenson Whelan (T3) who struggles to win from anything other than traps one and two.

CRAYFORD

Burgess Costa (T6) got badly crowded and then carried wide on his latest run but if getting better luck tonight, Julie Luckhurst’s inmate looks to boast the best claims in the six bender at 21:27 which sees Sleepy Kevin (T3) return from a break and if fully tuned up, he’s more than capable of going very close, along with Theydon Edina (T6) who takes a step down in class to S5 company and she looks win material in the 22:02.

MONMORE

There’s a fantastic card from Momnore with A1s, D1s and ORs left right and centre. Queen JessieJ (T2) renews rivalry with her kennel mate King Drake (T5) in the 18:49 but this speedy bitch has bags of early pace which should be enough to see her claim her fifth Open Race victory.

Union Secret (T3) should have won last time and the return to trap three means this three time A1 winner is more capable of taking the 19:07 if avoiding trouble.

Ballymac Pat (T2) isn’t the quickest away but finishes well and should be much sharper now after running down the field on his return last time. Cash Point (T4) should deliver for punters in the 19:38.
