Sheshoon Sonny

I’ll be honest and I say I expected a little more from him at Ascot last time, but he obviously didn’t run badly and he is still learning. So I would hope he would continue to progress with experience and this bumper winner remains a nice prospect for us. Maybe the return to 2m on this ground will help him around here, too.  It is taking a while for the penny to drop though, and this looks a pretty hot race.

Man Of Plenty

He is set to race off a 5lb lower mark in the future, so he isn’t well handicapped as such.  And he clearly hasn’t been running up to best of late. But he can still race off a 9lb lower mark than when an excellent sixth from out of the handicap in the Welsh Champion Hurdle in October, and he has definite chances on that form on a track where he run some really good races in the past. He obviously needs to show more than recently though, but hopefully he will on my first ride on him.
