I RIDE in the last two races, but it’s a great card before that.

I wouldn’t have a clue what will win the Coral Cup, but I can see it being a good day for the favourites.

It’s Envoi Allen for me in the Ballymore, Copperhead in the RSA and Tiger Roll in the Cross Country. My head tells me that Defi Du Seuil is the coming force in the 2 mile chasing division and will come out on top.

Cheltenham Festival Wednesday

4.50pm

Group Stage

I liked him when he won at Ludlow, and I thought he ran a lot better than his finishing position would suggest when fourth here in December. He certainly shaped as though as a return to a stiffer track would suit when a good second to Thyme White at Musselburgh last time and, while a mark of 131 is probably not overly-generous, this is only his fourth start over hurdles and hopefully he can make a further leap forward.

Linelee King

I haven’t ridden him before but there is a lot to like about the way he has been progressing. Winner of his only point, he was narrowly beaten on his bumper debut but he looks to have beaten a decent sort pretty convincingly at Sedgefield last time. Obviously, he jumps straight into the big league here but he was a pretty expensive purchase last year and he looks a very smart prospect on what we saw last time.
