He clearly needs to improve upon what he has done so far to be competitive here, but he ran better last time and maybe the step up in trip will suit.

Another Emotion

He loves this ground and he ran a great race for me when second at Sedgefield last time, with the cheek pieces back on. He went up 3lb for that but I think the step back in trip is a positive and he has gone well here in the past over hurdles. He looks to have a solid chance with conditions to suit.

Ben’s string is beginning to hit their stride again, with a couple of good winners last week, and this horse is a half-brother to that smart staying chaser Cogry. Hopefully, he can go a bit himself, too.
