Player to score – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Chelsea v Wolves) – 13/10
Chelsea signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to give the Blues a cutting edge in front of goal and the Gabonese striker has made a good start to life at the club, scoring his first Premier League goal in last weekend’s away win over Crystal Palace.
Aubameyang backed this up by producing another good performance against AC Milan in the Champions League and while the 33-year-old failed to find the net he finished the match with the highest Expected Goals (0.35). Meanwhile, Wolves are without a manager and have failed to win 14 of their last 15 Premier League matches.
Player to be carded – Eric Dier (Brighton v Tottenham Hotspur)
Tottenham Hotspur are struggling for form at the moment with Antonio Conte’s side disappointing in recent matches against Arsenal and Eintracht Frankfurt. Saturday’s trip to the Amex Stadium to face Brighton will be another tough test for the North London team with the Seagulls enjoying a good start under Roberto Di Zerbi.
Pascal Gross, Leandro Trossard and Danny Welbeck will give the Tottenham defence plenty to think about with Di Zerbi more likely to send players forward into the final third than his predecessor Graham Potter. Eric Dier could find himself in the firing line and is a solid bet to pick up a booking.
Match to be a draw – Real Sociedad v Villarreal (9/4)
Just one point separates Real Sociedad and Villarreal in the La Liga table after seven fixtures with both teams targeting European qualification this season. Unai Emery’s team have drawn each of their last two matches in the division while La Real are on a winning run of four matches in all competitions.
Villarreal have kept a clean sheet in five of their last six away matches in La Liga, but have also failed to score in their last three away matches. Real Sociedad have the quality to claim all three points this weekend yet Emery remains one of the best coaches at setting up a team to grind out a result on the road.
Both teams to score – Borussia Dortmund v Bayern Munich (4/11)
The first Klassiker of the season will take place on Saturday with both Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich entering the match on the back of emphatic Champions League wins during the week. The Bavarians in particular are in free-scoring form with the German champions scoring three or more goals in their last six matches against Dortmund in all competitions.
The rivalry has been one-sided in recent years with Bayern Munich winning their last eight matches against Borussia Dortmund (all competitions). On top of this, Bayern have been winning at half time and full time in six of those eight games. However, the Black and Yellows have the attacking talent to at least make a dent in the Bayern Munich defence.

This weekend’s marquee fixture in the Premier League will see Arsenal host Liverpool on Sunday with Mikel Arteta’s team aiming to stay top of the table. The Gunners have won their last seven home matches in the division while Liverpool are unbeaten in 25 of their last 26 Premier League outings.
Both teams have scored in all of Arsenal’s last eight games at the Emirates Stadium and it seems likely Liverpool’s attacking quality will make its mark on the score sheet at some point of Sunday’s clash. The Reds will pose a threat from set pieces and have had over 4.5 corner kicks in their last five matches.
