Player to score – Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur) 31/20

Four goals in seven Premier League games represents an impressive haul for Gabriel Jesus this season, but this doesn’t quite illustrate the impact the Brazilian striker has made on the Arsenal since joining from Manchester City. Indeed, Jesus has made the Gunners a more dangerous outfit in the final third.

Jesus is averaging the highest Expected Goals (xG) of any Arsenal player in the Premier League this season – 0.62. This number rises to 0.85 for matches played at the Emirates Stadium. Spurs have only kept a clean sheet in one away league match this season and will surely find Jesus to be a threat in the North London derby.

Player to be carded – Granit Xhaka (Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur)

Jesus is the only Arsenal player to have been shown more yellow cards in the Premier League this season than Granit Xhaka and the Swiss midfielder is a good bet to add to his tally in this weekend’s North London derby, a match that has always brought out the combative side of the 30-year-old.

Granit has been in good form for the Gunners this season, but Saturday’s match at the Emirates Stadium will largely be determined by which team wins the battle in the centre of the pitch. Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will put up a midfield barrier for Spurs and Xhaka will be pitted directly against it.

Match to be a draw – Leicester City v Nottingham Forest – 3/1

The outlook is bleak for Leicester City right now with Brendan Rodgers’ side currently rooted to the foot of the Premier League table. The Foxes are still searching for their first league win of the season and Nottingham Forest aren’t in much better form themselves, losing each of their last four games.

Forest have conceded three or more goals in their last three Premier League outings while Leicester City have conceded two or more goals in six of their last seven matches in the league. Steve Cooper and Rodgers are both facing criticism and need a result to get their respective teams back on track. A draw looks well-priced this weekend.

Both teams to score – Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur (11/20)

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have both enjoyed strong starts to the 2022/23 season with the former top of the Premier League table and the latter just one point behind them. The summer signing of Jesus has added zest to the Gunners’ frontline – Arsenal have scored 17 times in just seven league games.

Spurs have gone one better by scoring 18 times. These are two teams with a lot of attacking talent between them. Arsenal have scored two or more goals in their last six home matches in the Premier League while Antonio Conte’s side have failed to draw a blank in any of their league fixtures so far this season. Goals beckon at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Sunday’s Manchester derby will be a test for both Manchester City and Manchester United with Erik ten Hag’s team looking to pick up where they left off almost a month ago with the Premier League win over Arsenal. Fixtures don’t come much tougher than visits to the Etihad Stadium to face the English champions.

City have scored three goals or more in their last seven home matches in the league, but their high defensive line will present United opportunities on the break. Marcus Rashford has scored three times in six matches in the Premier League and showed against Arsenal just how devastating he can be when he has space to exploit. City, however, have won the second half of their last seven home matches.
