Player to score – Jamie Vardy (Leicester v Everton)
Jamie Vardy might be 37, but he is still Leicester City’s main man in attack. The talismanic striker has scored two goals in four Premier League games for the Foxes this season and will almost certainly have opportunities to add to his tally against Everton at the King Power Stadium this weekend.
No team has conceded more goals in the league than Everton who have allowed three or more goals in each of the four matches they have played. The Toffees have struggled against teams with pace in the attack and this is where Vardy could make an impact on Saturday for the hosts.
Over 2.5 total goals – Athletic Club v Celta Vigo
Celta Vigo have been a must-watch team in La Liga this season. Only Barcelona have scored more goals than the Galician outfit who have found the back of the net 13 times in just five matches. However, Celta have also been vulnerable at the back – nobody has conceded more goals (10) than them.
While Athletic Club struggled for attacking firepower in the early part of the campaign, they have scored five goals in their last two games. Inaki and Nico Williams have found their form recently, combining for a goal in last weekend’s 3-2 away win over Las Palmas. This one could produce goals.
Match to be a draw – Brighton v Nottingham Forest
Both Brighton and Nottingham Forest have made a strong start to the Premier League season with the pair joint on eight points in the table. Sunday’s match at the Amex Stadium promises to be an interesting clash of styles with the Seagulls intent on controlling games and Forest at their best when they can play on the counter.
Brighton and Forest have drawn 50% of their league games and Sunday’s match could produce another draw. Nuno Espirito Santo will set up his team to be difficult to play against, just as they were in last weekend’s shock away win over Liverpool. This could be the biggest test Brighton have had under Fabian Hurzeler.
Both teams to score – Tottenham v Brentford
Tottenham Hotspur need a positive result and performance against Brentford after last weekend’s North London Derby to Arsenal. Spurs are ranked ninth for Expected Goals (xG) in the Premier League this season, so the home team will likely have opportunities to find the back of the net on Saturday.
Brentford are known for being dangerous from attacking set pieces while Tottenham are weak at defending set pieces. This will surely be an area Thomas Frank looks to exploit as the Bees look to bounce back after last weekend’s defeat away to Manchester City which saw Brentford pose a threat.

Man City vs Arsenal
Sunday’s meeting between Manchester City and Arsenal could be a defining match in this season’s Premier League title race. The Gunners missed Martin Odegaard against Tottenham and Atalanta and so this weekend’s game could be a low-scoring affair with Mikel Arteta’s team one of the best defensive units in the division.
Jurrien Timber has picked up two yellow cards in four league games this season and is a good bet to collect a third booking up against Savinho on the right side of the City attack. Meanwhile, Erling Haaland will obviously pose a threat, meaning David Raya will have to be on top form for the visitors.
