Player to score – Bruno Fernandes (Turkey v Portugal)
Portugal got their Euro 2024 campaign off to a winning start with a 2-1 victory over Czechia and are firm favourites to make it two from two against Turkey. Bruno Fernandes will be a threat just as he was throughout qualifying when the Manchester United midfielder scored an impressive six goals in eight games.
Turkey will demonstrated more attacking ambition than Czechia and this could suit Portugal and their attacking threats, like Fernandes. The 29-year-old’s shooting makes him a good bet to find the back of the net on Saturday with his partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo key to Portugal’s chances at the Euros.
Over 2.5 total goals – Switzerland v Germany
Germany have cruised through their opening two fixtures of Euro 2024, scoring seven goals in wins over Scotland and Hungary. Switzerland have taken four points from their first two games and will almost certainly take their place in the last 16 of the tournament. Therefore, this match could be something of a dead rubber.
Nonetheless, Germany have found the back of the net at least once in four of their last five matches and have some of the best attackers in the whole tournament through the likes of Kai Havertz, Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz. Switzerland could use Breel Embolo and Dan Ndoye to get in behind the high German line.
Match to be a draw – Croatia v Italy
Croatia have underwhelmed at Euro 2024 so far having lost to Spain and drawing against Albania. Meanwhile, Italy were humbled by Spain on Thursday night as they struggled to make any sort of impression as an attacking force. Therefore, this meeting between Croatia and Italy could be a low-scoring affair.
While Croatia boast midfield quality, their attack is a weak area of the team and the same could be said of Italy with Gianluca Scamacca also yet to find the back of the net at the tournament. A point would likely be enough for Italy to make the round of 16, but would send Croatia home after the group stage
Both teams to score – Belgium v Romania
Belgium suffered the biggest shock of the tournament so far when they lost to Slovakia in their first match of Euro 2024. However, the Red Devils still created a number of opportunities and probably would have beaten Slovakia had Romelu Lukaku brought his shooting boots to the first fixture.
Romania, meanwhile, scored three against Ukraine in their opening fixture and will carry a threat through Nicolae Stanciu and Denis Dragus. Belgium need a result to kickstart their campaign and that could see them leave the back door open which could suit Romania and their threat on the counter-attack.

Scotland revived their hopes of making the last 16 of Euro 2024 by claiming a point against Switzerland which could have been three points had they converted one of their opportunities in the second half. Hungary, meanwhile, are on the brink of crashing out after losing their first two fixtures.
While Scotland were much improved against Switzerland, Steve Clarke’s team aren’t renowned for scoring many goals. They will look to keep it tight at the back and take an opportunity in front of goal when it comes. Set pieces will be key for both teams as neither are known for creating a lot from open play.
