Player to score – Lautaro Martinez (43/20)

Only four players have scored more goals in this season’s Champions League than Lautaro Martinez. The Argentine has been Inter’s main man in attack having scored crucial goals against Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the run to the final. He will be key against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday.

Martinez hasn’t featured for Inter since finding the back of the net against Barca earlier this month. The 27-year-old came off in the semi-final with an injury, but has been back in training for the last two weeks. Martinez would reach double figures in this season’s Champions League by scoring against PSG.

Under 2.5 total goals (9/10)

While Inter and Barcelona shared 13 goals over two legs in the semi-finals, a closer encounter should be expected in Saturday’s final. The Italians have conceded just 0.8 goals per match in the Champions League and went though the entire League Phase without allowing a single goal. They are difficult to break down.

PSG, meanwhile, have won 1-0 in two of their last three Champions League matches away from the Parc des Princes. Luis Enrique will set up his team to control possession with Inter happy to invite pressure on top of themselves. This could be a match decided by the finest of margins.

Over 1.5 total cards – Inter (2/5)

Inter have already shown they can win matches despite not having a lot of the ball. This is what they did against Bayern Munich and Barcelona to make the Champions League final. However, this approach will require the Serie A side to disrupt PSG as often as they can, potentially leading to yellow cards.

Over their last 11 Champions League matches, Inter have received over 1.5 cards in 10 games. There will be pressure on the likes of Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglou in the centre of the pitch to stop PSG from getting into their passing rhythm. Inter could rack up the tactical fouls in this match.

Over 1.5 shots on target – Ousmane Dembele (Evens)

Ousmane Dembele has been revelation for PSG since being converted into a centre forward. The French international is capable of shooting with both feet and is averaging 5.0 total shots per 90 minutes in this season’s Champions League – only two players are averaging more shots than Dembele. Inter will likely set up to defend deep which could open up space in front of the backline.

This is where Dembele will pose the biggest threat for PSG such is his threat when shooting at goal from around the edge of the box. Dembele could sting the gloves of Yann Sommer more than once.

Saturday’s match at the Allianz Arena promises to be a contrast of styles. Not only do Inter and PSG have very different tactical approaches, they are at either ends of the age spectrum – PSG are one of the youngest teams around while Inter are at the top of the hill with a number of veteran players.

Inter are underdogs to win the Champions League, but have already beaten Bayern Munich and Barcelona on their way to the final. Simone Inzaghi’s team could be tailor-built to expose some of the weaknesses in PSG, not least from set pieces where the Italians carry a genuine threat.
