Derby della Madonnina

Player to score – Ollie Watkins (Wolves v Aston Villa)

Ollie Watkins responded well to speculation about his future during the week, scoring one and assisting two more in Aston Villa’s 4-2 win over Celtic on Wednesday night. The England international has registered nine goal involvements in his last eight outings in all competitions and is a good bet to score again this weekend.

Wolves are on a run of three successive defeats and conceded three goals against Aston Villa when the two teams met earlier in the season. Villa will likely have open space to counter-attack into against a team that has hasn’t kept a clean sheet since the Boxing Day victory over Manchester United.

Over 2.5 total goals – Brentford v Tottenham

No Premier League team has scored more goals at home this season than Brentford who have found the back of the net 29 times in just 12 games. Meanwhile, Tottenham have also registered 19 goals in just 11 away games, suggesting that Sunday’s encounter could be an entertaining one.

Spurs are fresh from making the last 16 of the Europa League with a 3-0 win over Elfsborg and Ange Postecoglou could turn to some of the youngsters who help him achieve that result. Brentford have failed to score in just two home matches this season and will surely inflict damage on the Tottenham backline.

Match to be a draw – AC Milan v Inter

The Derby della Madonnina is one of the most historic and compelling fixtures in Italian football and this weekend will see AC Milan and Inter clash at San Siro. While Inter are targeting Scudetto glory, Sergio Conceicao’s team need points to boost their chances of finishing in Serie A’s top four.

Milan won the first derby of the season and have the attacking quality to cause Inter problems through the likes of Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao. Inter are in good form after beating Monaco 3-0 in the Champions League during the week, but have drawn three times at home in Serie A this season.

Both teams to score – Roma v Napoli

Under Claudio Ranieri, Roma have turned around their season. The Giallorossi are unbeaten in their last six league games and could extend their winning run to three matches with a victory over Napoli this weekend. Sunday’s match at the Stadio Olimpico will be a challenging one for the Serie A leaders.

Antonio Conte’s team have recently recorded statement wins over Atalanta and Juventus and can add more momentum to their Scudetto challenge with an away victory against Roma. Despite losing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to PSG, Napoli are getting the best out of Romelu Lukaku, Scott McTominay and André-Frank Zambo Anguissa as an attacking outlet.

ARSENAL vs MAN CITY

Last season, Sunday’s match between Arsenal and Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium could have been billed as a title decider. This season, though, both teams are a long way from the top of the Premier League. Nonetheless, this weekend’s encounter will still be a high stakes one. It could swing either way.

Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 13 league matches, but have also failed to score more than two goals in a home league game in any of their last five outings. Sunday could see the Gunners start strongly having won the first half in each of their last three home matches. City’s new-look attack including Omar Marmoush will pose a threat.
