Player to score – Antoine Semenyo (Southampton v Bournemouth) 37/20

Bournemouth face bottom team Southampton on Saturday with the Cherries hoping to keep up their challenge for European qualification. No team has conceded more goals in the Premier League this season than the Saints who are destined to suffer an immediate return to the Championship.

Antoine Semenyo is enjoying a successful season and has found the back of the net four times in his last six games in all competitions. The Ghanian is a prolific shooter, averaging 4.1 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League, and so it’s a good bet that at least one of those will beat Aaron Ramsdale.

Under 2.5 total goals – Juventus v Inter (8/11)

Juventus have the opportunity to win four games in a row for the first time this season against Inter on Sunday. Meanwhile, Simone Inzaghi’s team could move to the top of Serie A depending on what happens in the match between Lazio and Napoli 24 hours earlier. This has the potential to be a pivotal fixture.

There has been under 2.5 goals in 11 of Juve’s last 13 home matches against Inter in all competitions, hinting that this weekend’s clash would be a cagey one decided by the odd goal. It could be in Juventus’ best interests to make the match a stodgy one and grind out a win after beating PSV during the week.

Match to be a draw – Manchester City v Newcastle United (3/1)

This season has been a struggle for Manchester City and Newcastle United could exploit some of their weaknesses at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. Indeed, the Magpies are effective in quick transition through the likes of Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon and will be a threat against the Premier League champions.

City will be without Manuel Akanji after the Swiss defender sustained an injury against Real Madrid in the Champions League. This could see Matheus Nunes start at right back again which might be good news for Gordon who will have someone to target with his direct running down the left side.

Both teams to score – Bayer Leverkusen v Bayern Munich (13/25)

A top-of-the-table clash between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich is the most eye-catching fixture in the Bundesliga this weekend. If Xabi Alonso’s team are to stand any chance of catching the Bavarians, they must claim all three points. A Leverkusen victory would breathe new life into the German title race.

Leverkusen are unbeaten in their last 19 league matches, but have struggled to reach the heights of last season. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich have won their last seven league games, but could suffer some fatigue after defeating Celtic in the Champions League during the week. This one could end in a draw.

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have both had seasons to forget, but Sunday’s meeting offers them an opportunity to build some momentum for the final stage of the 2024/25 campaign. Interestingly, Spurs are unbeaten in their last five matches against United in all competitions.

Spurs have also scored over 1.5 goals in each of their last four games against the Old Trafford outfit. Injuries have hit Ange Postecoglou’s team hard in recent weeks, but this is a chance for the North London side to start Mathys Tel and release the on-loan Bayern Munich attacker on a defensively vulnerable opponent.
