Player to score – Anthony Gordon (Tottenham v Newcastle) 39/20
Anthony Gordon is in the middle of a purple patch having contributed a goal involvement in each of his last five matches in all competitions for Newcastle United. The England international will fancy his chances of extending this run away to a defensively vulnerable Tottenham Hotspur team this weekend.
Spurs can be open in behind the full backs in Ange Postecoglou’s system and this is where Gordon could do damage as the left side winger for the Magpies with his tendency to cut inside and shoot. Either as a finisher or a creator, Newcastle will look to Gordon for a spark this weekend.
Over 3.5 total goals – Tottenham v Newcastle (10/13)
Tottenham Hotspur matches have seen more goals than that of any other team in the Premier League this season. On top of this, Newcastle have scored three or more goals in four of their last five games in all competitions with Eddie Howe’s team currently on a winning run of five straight matches.
There has been over 2.5 goals scored in 38 of Tottenham’s last 48 league matches. Spurs need a positive result to help turn around their season and push back up the Premier League table, but Newcastle will pose a threat in North London this weekend. There should be goals in this one.
Match to be a draw – Roma v Lazio (11/5)
Claudio Ranieri is in the process of turning around Roma’s season with the Giallorossi on a run of four wins from their last six games. Lazio boast an identical record, making this weekend’s Derby della Capitolina one of the most compelling fixtures anywhere in European football.
Both teams come into the derby on the back of draws over the Christmas period with Roma drawing against AC Milan and Lazio drawing against table-toppers Atalanta. There might not be much between the two rivals when they meet at the Stadio Olimpico which points to this match finishing in a draw.
Both teams to score – Crystal Palace v Chelsea (13/25)
Crystal Palace come into Sunday’s match against Chelsea on the back of an important win over Southampton which edged them further away from relegation trouble. Chelsea, meanwhile, are without a win in their last three games and have seen their title challenge fade away over the Christmas period.
However, there will be plenty of attacking talent on display at Selhurst Park with Palace scoring in each of their last four league games at home and Chelsea boasting one of the strongest attacking lines in the Premier League. This has the potential to be a back-and-forth encounter between two attacking sides.

Liverpool could pile more misery on Manchester United this weekend when the two rivals meet at Anfield. Arne Slot’s team are running away with the Premier League title while United are facing up to the possibility of a relegation fight. The Reds are firm favourites to claim another victory to tighten their grip on top spot.
United may struggle to breach one of the strongest defences in the division with Liverpool also known for their habit of finishing matches stronger – Liverpool have won the second half in their last 10 matches. Sunday’s encounter could be another difficult one for Ruben Amorim and his players.
