Player to score – Nico Williams (Spain v Germany) 21/5
Friday’s quarter-final clash between Spain and Germany promises to be one of the most compelling matches of Euro 2024 with both teams capable of going the distance to lift the trophy. Spain are the only team in the tournament to still have a 100% record with Nico Williams one of their most dangerous attacking players.
Williams found the back of the net in Spain’s 4-1 win over Georgia in the round of 16 and his pace and directness could exploit the space in behind Germany’s full backs. Julian Nagelsmann will set up his team to play on the front foot and that could see Spain adopt a direct approach to get the most out of their two wingers.
Under 1.5 total goals – Portugal v France (33/20)
Between them, Portugal and France boast some of the best attackers at Euro 2024. Despite this, neither team has found top form at the tournament with Portugal taken to a penalty shootout by Slovenia in the round of 16 and France edging past Belgium thanks to a late own goal. Neither match was worth a rewatch.
Didier Deschamps will set up his team to be conservative in the centre of the pitch with N’Golo Kante and Aurelien Tchouameni expected to start. Meanwhile, Roberto Martinez has been guilty of gearing too much of Portugal’s attacking play towards setting up Cristiano Ronaldo who is increasingly looking his age as the number nine.
Both teams to score – Netherlands v Turkey (8/11)
The Netherlands produced their best performance of the tournament so far by beating Romania 3-0 in the round of 16. That match saw Cody Gakpo produce a goal and assist with Xavi Simons also instrumental for the Oranje in the number 10 position behind Memphis Depay. This is a team with genuine attacking threat.
Turkey, on the other hand, saw off Austria thanks to two set piece goals from Merih Demiral. Vincenzo Montella has embraced the chaotic side of his team with Arda Guler already Turkey’s creator-in-chief at the age of 19. Saturday’s quarter-final could be an entertaining one with both sides set up to attack.
Player to be carded – Antonio Rudiger (Spain v Germany) 19/5
Germany’s defence will have to be on top form to handle the movement of Spain’s attacking line in Friday’s Euro 2024 quarter-final in Stuttgart. A lot of the responsibility in this regard will fall on Antonio Rudiger who has kept Germany solid at the back throughout this tournament so far. Friday’s match, however, will be a different sort of test.
Rudiger could find himself having to defend a lot of open space in defensive transition with Alvaro Morata, Pedri, Lamine Yamal and Williams all capable of causing trouble. The Real Madrid centre back has already picked up one yellow card at Euro 2024 and he could be in line for another against Spain.

England have struggled to get to the quarter-final stage of Euro 2024 with Gareth Southgate’s team fortunate to get past Slovakia in the round of 16 thanks to a stoppage time equaliser by Jude Bellingham. However, reports suggest Southgate will make changes to his lineup for Saturday’s clash with Switzerland.
This could see Cole Palmer come into the team. The Chelsea attacking midfielder has impressed off the bench for England at Euro 2024 and will pose a goal threat should he be afforded more time on the pitch. Switzerland have impressed at this tournament, but the The Three Lions should have too much for them.
