Player to score – Adam Armstrong (Leeds v Southampton) 11/5
Promotion to the Premier League will be on the line at Wembley this weekend as Leeds United and Southampton face each other in the Championship play-off final. Russell Martin’s team have already beaten Leeds twice this season with Adam Armstrong scoring three times in those matches against the Whites.
Armstrong also found the back of the net twice in the semi-final victory over West Brom and will be a threat once more at the national stadium. Leeds have attackers of their own who could make an impact – see Patrick Bamford, Wilfried Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville – but Armstrong is a good bet to score.
Over 2.5 total goals – Kaiserslautern v Bayer Leverkusen (7/20)
Bayer Leverkusen might have lost to Atalanta in the Europa League final on Wednesday night, but Xabi Alonso’s team can complete a league and cup double against Kaiserslautern in this weekend’s DFB Pokal final. Against lower league opposition, the Bundesliga champions will be firm favourites.
Despite this, Kaiserslautern can feel confident about finding the back of the net at least once. Leverkusen conceded goals to Sandhausen, Paderborn and Stuttgart on their way to the DFB Pokal final while Kaiserslautern have notched 13 times in their last four matches. This could be a high-scoring affair.
Match to be a draw – Osasuna v Villarreal (14/5)
Osasuna will bring a successful season to a close when they host Villarreal in their final match of the campaign this weekend. Jagoba Arrasate’s team come into this fixture having drawn two of their last three games and with little on the line this could be a contest that is somewhat lacking in intensity.
Villarreal can no longer finish in the European qualification positions after drawing with Real Madrid last weekend. Nonetheless, the Yellow Submarine will carry a threat through the in-form Alexander Sorloth who can secure La Liga’s Golden Boot with another sharp-shooting performance on Saturday.
Both teams to score – Celtic v Rangers (8/13)
Old Firm rivals Celtic and Rangers will meet again this weekend with the 2023/24 Scottish Cup on the line. Brendan Rodgers’ team got the better of the Ibrox outfit in the last derby which went a long way to deciding the destination of the Scottish Premiership title, but Rangers have the attacking quality to win on Saturday.
Both teams have scored in each of the last three Old Firm derbies which highlights the strengths and weaknesses of the Glasgow rivals. Celtic and Rangers are both stronger in attack than defence and that bodes well for Saturday’s Scottish Cup final which could be a blockbuster encounter.

For the second season in-a-row, the FA Cup final will be a derby between Manchester City and Manchester United. It’s difficult to see past City as favourites with Pep Guardiola’s team currently on a run of seven successive wins in all competitions. United will need good fortune on their side if they are to lift the trophy on Saturday.
Phil Foden has found the back of the net five times in his last five games. Manchester United have found some goalscoring form recently, netting five goals in two games against Newcastle and Brighton, and there’s a good chance they will score against City having notched in the previous two derbies this season.
