Player to score – Gianluca Scamacca (Italy v North Macedonia)

Italy have some demons to exorcise against North Macedonia on Friday. It was North Macedonia who cost the Azzurri their place at the 2022 World Cup. They also claimed a 1-1 draw against Italy earlier in Euro 2024 qualifying. Friday’s match, however, will present Luciano Spalletti’s team with a chance to make amends.

Gianluca Scamacca has been in good scoring form for Atalanta of late (three goals in four games) and also found the back of the net for Italy against England in October. The 24-year-old will almost certainly receive opportunities if Spalletti gives him the nod to start over Giacomo Raspadori in the striker position.

Over 2.5 goals – Netherlands (v Republic of Ireland)

The Netherlands can secure their Euro 2024 place with a win over the Republic of Ireland Saturday and there’s good reason to believe they will get the result they need. The Dutch have won two of their three home qualifiers with their only defeat coming against France.

Ronald Koeman’s team have been in good goalscoring form in 2023, scoring finding the back of the net in seven of the eight matches they have played. They have scored three times in two of their three home games in Euro 2024 qualification while Ireland have kept a clean sheet against only Gibraltar in their campaign.

Match to be a draw – Scotland v Norway

Scotland and Norway will conclude their respective Euro 2024 qualification campaigns on Sunday with the former heading to Germany next summer and the latter staying at home. Steve Clarke’s team have enjoyed an excellent campaign, but are without a win in their last four matches after drawing against Georgia on Thursday.

However, Norway’s only away win in Euro 2024 qualifying came against Cyprus. What’s more, Scotland haven’t lost a competitive match at Hampden Park since the 2022 World Cup play-off semi-final defeat to Ukraine. Clarke’s team have become a formidable force in front of their supporters.

Both teams to score – Denmark v Slovenia

The top two in Group H will meet on Friday night with Denmark and Slovenia both vying for top spot. The Danes will be without Rasmus Hojlund who is sidelined through injury, but the hosts have won their last four matches. Slovenia, however, took points off Denmark when they met them earlier in the campaign.

Slovenia have scored in all but one of their eight Euro 2024 qualifiers to date and will fancy their chances of finding the back of the net at Parken. This could be a straight shootout between the two strongest teams in Group H. It could be an entertaining encounter.

Graham’s Bet Builder – England vs. Malta

England have already qualified for Euro 2024 and this could give Gareth Southgate some freedom to experiment with his lineup against Malta on Friday night. Nonetheless, the Three Lions will be strong favourites not just to win, but to rack up the scoreline against the visitors to Wembley Stadium.

Marcus Rashford hasn’t been in the best of form for Manchester United, but he scored in his last game for England against Italy and will be a threat against Malta. The Three Lions scored four goals in their away meeting with the same opponents in June and that scoreline could be bettered at Wembley.
