Player to score – Bryan Mbuemo (Fulham v Brentford) – 12/5

Brentford will be without the suspended Ivan Toney until January meaning Bryan Mbuemo will carry the goal-scoring burden for the time being. Mbuemo found the back of the net against Tottenham Hotspur on opening weekend and will surely fancy his chances of making it two-in-two against Fulham on Saturday.

The Bees have scored two or more goals in each of their last four meetings with Fulham in all competitions. Mbuemo scored nine goals in 38 Premier League appearances last season and those numbers are likely to rise now that he is Brentford’s main man in the attacking third.

Over 2.5 total goals – Almeria v Real Madrid – 3/5

Real Madrid started their season with an impressive 2-0 away win over Athletic Club and are on the road once more against Almeria this weekend. Los Blancos’ front two of Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior with Jude Bellingham in a supporting role looked extremely dangerous. They could do more damage on Saturday.

The capital club have scored three or more goals in six of their last seven matches against Almeria in all competitions. Real Madrid have also won all of those seven matches. Carlo Ancelotti’s team have started strongly and have the attacking threat to stick a few past their opponents on Saturday.

Match to be a draw – Manchester City v Newcastle United – 3/1

Manchester City and Newcastle United both started with convincing wins in their opening Premier League fixtures last weekend. However, Pep Guardiola’s team faced Sevilla in energy-sapping conditions on Wednesday evening and so City could be somewhat lethargic against the Magpies on Saturday evening.

Newcastle, meanwhile, will have had a full week to prepare for their meeting with the Treble winners. Eddie Howe’s team drew against Manchester City in the third fixture of last season and their 5-1 opening day win over Aston Villa highlighted how they have proved since then. There is good value in backing Newcastle to take something.

Both teams to score – Crystal Palace v Arsenal – 49/50

Crystal Palace started their Premier League campaign with a 1-0 away win over Sheffield United while Arsenal got up and running with a 2-1 victory at home to Nottingham Forest. Both teams will find Monday night’s fixture more of a test with Palace boosted by the news of Michael Olise’s new contract extension.

The Gunners will be favourites to win at Selhurst Park, but they have kept just one clean sheer in their last five away matches in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Manchester City are the only team to have beaten Palace at home in their last nine league games in front of their own supporters.

Manchester United enter Saturday’s fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on a winning run of five games in the Premier League, but Erik Ten Hag’s team were somewhat fortunate to beat Wolves on Monday. Meanwhile, Spurs showed encouraging signs in their 2-2 away draw against Brentford.

Harry Kane’s departure means James Maddison will have to chip in with a good number of goals this season. Tottenham will have a lot of the ball against United, but they might struggle for cutting edge. Meanwhile, the visitors to North London are also struggling for firepower in the final third.
