Player to score – Joao Felix (Portugal v Bosnia & Herzegovina) 23/20

The 2022/23 season was a difficult one for Joao Felix, but the 23-year-old has still managed to show glimpses of his best form for Portugal. Felix found the net in Portugal’s 6-0 thumping of Luxembourg in the last international window and will surely have opportunities against Bosnia & Herzegovina as well.

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to start in attack, but Felix will most likely be the one used as a secondary centre forward. Under Roberto Martinez, Portugal appear to be a more attack-minded team, highlighted by how they have scored 10 goals in their last two outings. Felix is central to what Martinez is building.

Under 3.5 goals – England (Malta v England) 17/20

England will look to continue their perfect start to Euro 2024 qualifying with a win away to Malta on Friday night. The Three Lions enter the fixture on the back of impressive wins over Italy and Ukraine with Gareth Southgate’s team well-placed to reach next summer’s tournament.

While England have scored in each of their last five matches in all competitions, they haven’t scored more than three goals in a game since the 6-2 thumping of Iran at the 2022 World Cup. Malta, meanwhile, haven’t conceded more than twice in a match in any of their last 10 games in all competitions.

Match to be a draw – Norway v Scotland (5/2)

With Norway and Scotland both targeting qualification from Group A, Saturday’s clash between the two nations has a lot riding on it. Steve Clarke’s team are in good form, winning their first two Euro 2024 qualifiers (including one against Spain). Norway, however, have just one point from a possible six.

Scotland are unbeaten in six of their last seven away competitive matches and while Erling Haaland will certainly pose a threat the visitors to Oslo have good reason they believe they can extend this run by one more match. Norway have yet to truly harness Haaland and Martin Odegaard as their best players.

Both teams to score – Greece v Ireland (21/20)

Despite suffering a defeat to France in their opening Euro 2024 qualifier, Republic of Ireland appear to have turned a corner. This was highlighted by the cutting edge shown in last September’s 3-2 win over Armenia in the UEFA Nations League and that attacking threat will be key to the outcome of Friday night’s match.

Greece will also have an attacking threat of their own after netting six times in their last two matches. There is incentive for both teams to target all three points with Greece set to face France away from home next week. This could be key to determining who finishes second in Group B.

Croatia and Spain will face-off in Sunday’s UEFA Nations League final after semi-final victories over the Netherlands and Italy respectively. Croatia have won three of the four matches they have played since the 2022 World Cup and have proved themselves as tournament specialists over a number of years.

Andrej Kramaric scored in the 4-2 win over the Netherlands and has netted six times in his last 10 matches for club and country in all competitions. Spain might control the majority of possession, but they frequently struggle to create opportunities. This could be the case against a strong Croatian defence.
