Player to score – Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford v Man Utd)
While this season has been a slog for Manchester United, Bryan Mbeumo has been a consistently potent threat in the games he has played. The Cameroonian ranks 12th in the Premier League for Expected Goals, hinting the opportunities he has had to find the back of the net for his new team.
Mbeumo has two goals to his name as a Manchester United player and will have the opportunity to score a third against his former club this weekend. Brentford have been shaky at the back in the opening few games of the campaign, giving United hope that they will find the back of the net on Saturday.
Over 2.5 total goals – Chelsea v Brighton
Brighton games have been good for goals this season. Indeed, there has been over 2.5 goals in 16 of the last 20 matches played by the Seagulls in the Premier League, suggesting Saturday’s trip to Stamford Bridge will be another exciting encounter. Brighton can score goals, but also have a habit of conceding them.
There has also been over 2.5 goals in eight of the last nine meetings between Chelsea and Brighton in all competitions. Enzo Maresca’s side have won two of their opening five league fixtures this season with the pressure on the Blues to start putting together a more consistent run of form.
Match to be a draw – AC Milan v Napoli
AC Milan and Napoli have both made a good start to the Serie A season with Saturday’s meeting at San Siro a potential clash between two title challengers. The Rossoneri have scored six goals in their last two games while Napoli have a 100% record, but have been unconvincing in a number of their outings.
This is a pivotal stretch for Max Allegri’s team with a match against Juventus looming next weekend. A victory for AC Milan over Napoli would make a statement about their improvement since the end of last season, but Antonio Conte’s team are proven as champions and will be difficult to topple.
Both teams to score – Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid
This weekend’s Madrid Derby promises to be one of the most interesting of recent times with both rivals making contrasting starts to the season. Atletico Madrid enter the derby in underwhelming form having won just two of their opening six league fixtures. Diego Simeone is struggling to find solutions.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, have a perfect record at the top of La Liga and appear to be getting better with every match they play under Xabi Alonso. Los Blancos have won their last nine matches in all competitions, but Julian Alvarez is fresh from scoring a hat trick in his last game. He could do some damage.

NEWCASTLE UNITED vs ARSENAL
Sunday’s marquee Premier League match sees Newcastle United host Arsenal in a match the latter in particular need to win in order to boost their already ailing title challenge. The Gunners needed a late equaliser to salvage a point against Manchester City last weekend, but should welcome back Bukayo Saka from injury for the trip to the North East.
Arsenal are unbeaten in 30 of their last 33 league outings while Newcastle have failed to find the back of the net in five of their last seven Premier League games. All the signs point to the Gunners being the favourites to return back to North London with three points and renewed hopes of a title challenge.
