Player to score – Alvaro Morata (Spain v Georgia) 57/50
Georgia have provided one of the storylines of Euro 2024 by making the round of 16, but Willy Sagnol’s team now face one of the tournament favourites in the shape of Spain. Spain thumped Georgia 7-1 in qualifying and it’s easy to envisage Luis De La Fuente’s team running out comfortable winners again on Sunday.
Alvaro Morata has scored once in two appearances at Euro 2024 and is expected to lead the line for Spain against Georgia. Spain will have plenty of the ball and that could lead to Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal sending crosses into the box where Morata will be on hand to act as the attacking focal point.
Under 1.5 total goals – England v Slovakia (9/4)
England have yet to hit top form at Euro 2024 with Gareth Southgate’s side scoring just two goals in three group stage games. Indeed, the Three Lions are struggling for attacking firepower despite their collection of world class forwards. At the same time, though, England have allowed the lowest xG of any team at the tournament so far.
Slovakia have proven themselves as a competitive outfit by making the last 16 at Euro 2024 with Stanislav Lobotka one of the best midfielders at the tournament so far. However, they have yet to stretch their legs as an attacking force, scoring just three goals in three games. England might have to grind it out to make the last eight.
Match to be a draw – Switzerland v Italy (39/20)
Switzerland know what it takes to cause an upset in the round of 16 in the Euros. Indeed, they shocked France at the same stage of the tournament at Euro 2020 and are aiming to cause another upset against Italy on Saturday. What’s more, their group stage form suggests that could be on the cards.
Italy, on the other hand, needed a stoppage time equaliser from Mattia Zaccagni to reach the knockout rounds and have struggled for momentum under Luciano Spalletti. Both teams lack top-end talent in the attacking third and that could lead to a cagey encounter that goes to extra time and possibly penalties.
Both teams to score – France v Belgium (Evens)
Monday’s clash between France and Belgium is the heavyweight tie of Euro 2024’s round of 16 with both teams failing to finish top of a group they were favourites to win. France have yet to find their groove at Euro 2024, but still have world class attacking talent. The same could be said of Belgium.
Romelu Lukaku has the fifth highest xG of any player at Euro 2024 so far, but has yet to find the back of the net. That could change on Monday night if Belgium can continue creating opportunities for the centre forward. Kylian Mbappe is off the mark after scoring in the 1-1 draw against Poland.

Austria have the potential to be the true dark horses of Euro 2024 after finishing top of a group that included France, the Netherlands and Poland. Ralf Rangnick’s team now face Turkey in the last 16 with Austria in a good position to make an even deeper run to the quarter-finals. They have the quality.
Marcel Sabitzer is playing in a more advanced role for Austria than he does at club level and scored the winner against the Netherlands. Turkey, however, have Arda Guler as an attacker who can produce something out of nothing. This last 16 encounter could be one of the most entertaining of the round.
