I’M sure many of you have seen the video of Constitution Hill having his stalls practice this week and everything seems to be going well in that department. He’s also going to do some schooling with Yogi Breisner next week so we’re definitely keeping him busy!
I think the objective to running him at Southwell is so I can hopefully see what potential he has for racing on the flat and if we can go further down that route.
He is in great form and if it continues that way he will definitely run on the 20th February and that will then tell us what future he has, or if we have to start thinking again.
There has been much speculation as to who will ride him at Southwell and I can tell you that no decision has been made, except to say that Michael Buckley has been in discussions with Oisin Murphy and, obviously we’ll have to see where he is at the time, but if he’s available it’s quite possible he could ride. If that wasn’t to be the case we have Rob Hornby who rides out for us on occasions and rode at the Newbury gallops morning in November. He’s a very good jockey, although I don’t think we’ll be short of applicants!
Jango Baie is in great shape and will head to Newbury next weekend for the Denman Chase and Lulamba has the option of the Game Spirit or the Kingmaker, at Warwick, on the same day. We shall look at what the weather is doing before making any decisions but he’ll certainly be entered in both races on Monday.
Jonbon is fine and all roads lead back to Ascot the following week for the Ascot Chase, back over further, after which we’ll have a better idea re what race he runs in at Cheltenham.
SANDOWN
12:20
Ionian (Nico De Boinville)
The thing with him is that he needs to settle so we are putting a hood on which will hopefully help him relax because he was extremely keen at Kempton on his hurdles debut. He is still a young horse with a very bright future and if he relaxes he will not be far away.
Grand Teton (James Bowen)
He’s a gorgeous son of Walk In The Park who undoubtedly has plenty of ability but this is very much an education for him and I expect him to improve with time. I can’t wait to see him jump a fence, because he has lots of size and scope, but this will definitely be a learning curve.
LINGFIELD

Therapist (Rob Hornby)
She’s a very likeable mare who is extremely versatile and consistent. Flat or jumps come as the same to her and I think she’ll enjoy herself over this trip around Lingfield on the All Weather. She will probably go over hurdles again but this looks a nice opportunity and hopefully she’ll run well.
