SATURDAY

CHELTENHAM

12:10

Macshadow Des Crai (Nico De Boinville)

He’s a new recruit to us from France who will race for the Million in Mind Partnership, which is headed up by Anthony Bromley, and will be sold at the end of the season, like they all are.

He ran well in a couple of AQPS flat races and stayed on nicely over hurdles on his only start in that sphere in June. Everything he has done at home has been perfectly satisfactory and he’s schooled nicely. It’s much to early to even consider thinking about races like the Triumph Hurdle, but we like him and hopefully he’ll run a solid race.

12:40

As The Fella Says (Nico De Boinville)

He stayed on well over two and a half at Southwell, doing all his best work at the end, so I’m excited to be stepping him up in trip as he’s already a Point to Point winner. This is a rise in class but he’s a big rangy type who is improving all the time and looks to have a decent chance.

3:00

Reckless Spending (Nico De Boinville)

He’s still a Maiden but is a very nice horse and one, we think, has a bright future. This is a big step up, but I liked the way he stayed on at Ascot last time, so he will definitely be suited by the trip, and a bit of cut will also help.

DONCASTER

12:25

That’s Nice (James Bowen)

I was very disappointed with her at Exeter and nothing has come to light. Her schooling had been good, as had her work, so I can only assume she needed the run. She is much better than what she showed there, and we are putting on some cheek pieces to help her concentrate.

2:05

Ile De Jersey (James Bowen)

He is very consistent, apart from a below par effort last time, of which nothing came to light, but this is his trip and he handles soft ground.
