Act Of Innocence (Nico de Boinville)

He was due to run at Cheltenham, but the ground was unsuitable so we’ve come here instead, and he enjoyed a leg stretch around the track (with Constitution Hill) on their gallops morning earlier in the month.

His jumping has been very good at home, and he does everything right so could be a very exciting novice hurdler. This will obviously tell us a lot more.

Impose Toi (Nico de Boinville)

He surprised me quite a bit at Aintree last time because he’s very hard to judge on his homework, but he stayed on well and I think he could be very progressive in this division.

He won at this meeting last year, over two and a half, so we know he handles the track, but we are now forced out of Handicap Company because of his rating which is obviously a further test.

He’s tough and consistent and an extremely likeable person.

Doddiethegreat (James Bowen)

He has certainly come on for the run at Wetherby and this race has been the plan for quite a while. He won’t be making the running like he did up there because he was all over the place and not concentrating on the job in hand. Three miles on decent ground is just what he wants and I’ve been very happy with his work so am hopeful he can put up a bold show. I wouldn’t put you off him, that’s for sure.

He’s a pretty versatile customer who is due to go chasing, but I feel a run over hurldes will sharpen him and and he handles most surfaces. We’re going up in trip, but he’s uncomplicated and the handicapper has dropped him down a few pounds.
