YORK – THURSDAY

2:25

Raakeb (Sean Levey)

He’s a very tough, professional colt who has always shown high-class form and ran well in the Super Sprint last time.

We’ve freshened him up at home; he looks great in his coat and is moving really nicely. I think six furlongs is probably his optimum trip and he has a great chance in what is a very valuable prize.

Saffron Dandy (Clifford Lee)

She was impressive on debut at Bath, and, in hindsight, the form of her run behind Lady Iman in a G3 at Naas, might not actually be that bad!

She’s enjoyed a nice break since May and has filled out a bit, so she could easily run well and hopefully give her owners a great day out.

Magician Of Riga (Tom Greatrex)

He needs to improve on his two starts to date, and we’re dropping in trip, but this is a typically hot sales race, and if he can finish in the first money, I’ll be delighted.

Logi Bear (Sean Levey)

He stayed on really nicely at Goodwood last time (over six) which suggested he’s ready for a step up in trip, and the handicapper has even dropped him a couple of pounds.

There’s not much rain around, and he probably prefers a bit of cut, but they do a great job at York, so it should still ride with plenty of juice, and he has a solid each-way squeak.

Ballistic Missile (James Doyle)

He was unlucky not to win at Newmarket, where he just failed to get up on his first run in a handicap, and he’s still learning all the time.

This is a wide-open race but he’s a smart colt and, having won on debut at the track, I’d like to think he’ll be extremely competitive.
